Candidates for the Integrated Mathematics and Science Course at Metz for Grade Seven

 

School division personnel are beginning to review student data to identify candidates for the integrated mathematics and science (IMS) course at Metz Middle School.  To be competitive, students must have an average of three RIT scores of 245 on their sixth grade Measurement of Academic Progress assessment in mathematics.

 

Parents will be sent application forms to give permission for further collection and review of data for all students considered competitive to take Algebraic Reasoning and Physical Science as one class as seventh graders.  The application will explain the additional data that will be collected for each candidate.

Mayfield Intermediate is participating in Recycle Forward, a program that recycles used technology to raise money for new technology for schools, and is asking parents, staff, students, business members and community members for help.

We are recycling used cell phones, inkjet and laser cartridges, digital cameras, laptops, PDAs, iPods, video games, GPS Systems, DVDs, scientific and graphing calculators, LCD monitors and digital cameras.

How can you help? You can turn your trash into our treasure while feeling good about helping the environment.   By donating these used items you can assist Mayfield with earning much needed funds to provide today's students with the technical education they need to thrive in tomorrow's workforce.  We thank you for your support!
