Application Manassas City School Board Student Liaison
May 16, 2013....Manassas City Schools is accepting applications for a student liaison to the School Board through June 7, 2013. This position is for the 2013-2014 school year and will provide an Osbourn High School student the opportunity to serve their community and to gain a more thorough understanding of city and school governance and its role in creating an effective learning environment for every child in the City of Manassas. The student liaison will represent Manassas City Public Schools students on issues and policies that directly affect the student body by playing an active role in board discussions.
Interested students must attend Osbourn High School, be a rising junior or senior, have a 2.5 GPA or higher with no failing grades, have not had any in or out of school disciplinary issues, and be able to attend 75% of all open School Board meetings beginning in July.
